A Tradition of Choral Excellence

The Chamber Singers of Keene is a select choral ensemble dedicated to the performance of choral music spanning centuries of human creativity — from the soaring polyphony of the Renaissance to the bold harmonies of the contemporary age.

Based in Keene, New Hampshire, our singers bring professional-caliber musicianship and a deep love of the choral art to audiences throughout the region. We perform two concerts each year and are committed to both the preservation of the great choral canon and the championing of new voices in composition.

Under dedicated artistic leadership, the Chamber Singers of Keene has cultivated a distinctive sound — intimate, expressive, and refined — that has made it a beloved fixture of the Keene arts community.

Join the Chamber Singers

We welcome dedicated singers who share our passion for choral music. New members are auditioned at the start of each season. No prior choral experience is required — only musicianship, commitment, and a love of singing.

Auditions

Auditions are held twice a year, in the fall and spring. Singers are asked to prepare a short piece of their choosing and sight-read a brief passage.

Rehearsals

We rehearse on Tuesday evenings from 7:00–9:00 PM at St. James in Keene, NH, running September through May.

Repertoire

Our singers explore music from Gregorian chant to living composers, gaining breadth and depth across the full choral tradition.
